Catch up by the Coffee Machine Birthday Edition: Adam Butler

A special edition of Catch Up by the Coffee Machine for Adam Butler today as he celebrates his 26th *cough 33rd* birthday! We sat down with him to discuss his time with Avamore……

Firstly, happy birthday Adam! What would you say your best birthday memory is?

Definitely my 7th birthday. Being taken to Old Trafford and watch Man United play. A total surprise and still as vivid a memory as it was all those years ago!

Why did you join Avamore? What was your role?

I joined as a Relationship Manager in April 2020, right at the start of the pandemic!

Why did you join Avamore? What were your initial thoughts of the company?

When I initially spoke with Michael (Co-Founder) I was inspired by the passion and the obvious drive they had to push Avamore forward. I always say, I was sold the dream and it came true!

How has your career progressed while you’ve been here?

Quite quickly! I joined as a Relationship manager in 2020 and was promoted to Senior Relationship Manager in the same year. Finally, at the start of 2022 I was promoted to Head of Sales.

What do you enjoy most about Avamore?

The people, definitely! I love everyone’s motivation and work ethic. The best thing though is that everyone works collectively as a team. We are all in it together to continue Avamore’s growth.

What do you love most about your job?

In my new role, it’s the ability to motivate my team to achieve success in what they do. Seeing others achieve their goals is far more satisfying for me than just focusing on my own ambitions. With a fairly young team it’s rewarding to be able to support them in smashing through their targets and helping shape them into being the best in the industry.

If you could learn one skill, what would it be and why?

Probably an instrument, like the guitar. I love my music but never played anything past the recorder at infant school!

If you could choose another career what would it be and why?

I fear my chances of being a football player are past me so probably a manager of a football team. I am football mad and have a real passion to help others thrive.

What advice would you give someone looking to join Avamore?

Do it! The culture here is second to none and even as we have grown we have never lost that family feel. There are real opportunities to progress throughout the business and you definitely get out of it what you put in.

How would you define success?

Achieving the goals I set, both professionally and personally.

What is your greatest professional highlight?

Definitely being named Head of Sales. To be given the opportunity and entrusted by the leadership team to spearhead the origination department and shape it for the future at Avamore fills me with pride.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Ambitious, dependable, caring.

Finally, is there anything you want to achieve before your next birthday?

The ability to get younger!
