Henry Manley-Cooper is one of Avamore’s longest standing employees, with his career having progressed exponentially over the 4 years he’s been here. Have a read below to see his journey to becoming Head of Investor Relations…

When did you join Avamore? What was your role?

I joined Avamore in August 2018 as a Transaction Analyst.

Why did you join Avamore? What were your initial thoughts of the company?

I had always worked for small companies and so after my Real Estate Finance Masters, my main priority was finding a small but ambitious company. I loved Avamore from day 1. You are thrown straight into the thick of it and even in the first week you are presenting deals to the founders of the company.

How has your career progressed while you’ve been here?

After just a year I was promoted to Senior Credit Analyst which I held until Jan 2020 when I became a Credit Associate. Another year after that I was promoted to Head of Credit Analysis. In July of this year I then took the next step, becoming Head of Investor Relations.

What do you enjoy most about Avamore?

Everyone at Avamore works together and contributes to every deal. We all have the same goal to push Avamore forward.

What do you love most about your job?

There is no set path for progression in the company so wherever you want your career to go, it can.

If you could learn one skill, what would it be and why?

I would become far better at golf! Then take the summer off to reap the rewards.

If you could choose another career what would it be and why?

I’ve always said being on the West End stage! But have the slight disadvantage that I can’t sing, act or dance…

What advice would you give someone looking to join Avamore?

Work hard and get involved as much as possible.

How would you define success?

Arsenal’s 22/23 season.

What is your greatest professional highlight?

100% it is building the Credit Analyst team. They have all progressed in their roles and now hold senior positions in the company (or definitely will do in the future).

Describe yourself in 3 words

Trusting the process.
