Avamore Capital were delighted to host a table at this year’s Props Breakfast, an annual event set to raise funds for Varietychildren’s charity, resolving to measurably improve young lives every day. Led by Mike Hussey, Chief Executive of Almacantar, speaking opposite Steve Norris, Chairman of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK and Soho Estates in this year’s Property Fight Club, the philanthropically focused morning worked in parallel to generate engaging discussion around ‘Brexit: An Opportunity?’.
With enlivening discussions taking place, both sides used strong arguments to support their thesis, but as recent reflections across the media space have revealed, Brexit discussions within the industry are always spiced with a hint of political bias. The conversation was engaging, and the panel, as expected, was divided in heightened discussions over Brexit.
Avamore Capital advocate the importance and value behind reactive business discussions whilst analysing the effect of Brexit as it is stands now, against forecasts for future volatility, changes and trends, making for a closely monitored process. Avamore Capitalresolves to be politically neutral and rather more analytical. We believe regardless of the outcome of Brexit, we should uphold our company values without losing the ability to be agile and flexible in terms of our offering to the market.
Avamore Capital Principal, Michael Dean led the closing address, commenting on the importance of being generous, and highlighting the impact Variety Club is making to the lives of children with special needs and their families, particularly when they do not have the resources to provide adequate care themselves . Delighted to be participating in the charitable journey and pleased to be acquiring intelligent insights from across the board, Avamore Capital are already looking forward to the Props Lunch in May 2017 .
